1- teaspoon = 5 grams
1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
1 Tablespoon = 1/2 fluid Oz
1 cup = 16 tablespoons
1 cup = 8 fluid ounces
1 pound = 16 weighed ounces
1 ounce = 29 grams

GOOD to KNOW
1 Tablespoon fresh herbs = 1/2 – 1 teaspoon dried herbs1 ounce chocolate = 3 Tablespoons cocoa plus 1 tablespoon canola oil1 tablespoon garlic powder = 1 small clove garlic

1 cup yogurt = 1 cup buttermilk

1 cup liquid heavy cream = 2 cups whipped cream

1 cup dry rice = 3 -3 1/2 cups cooked rice

 Nuts:

1 lb. Almonds in shell  = 1 cup shelled

1 lb. walnuts in shell  = 2 cups shelled

1/4 lb. shelled walnuts = 1 cup shelled

Kitchen scales are not costly and a valuable asset to any kitchen.

Good measuring cups and spoons are most important.
